Curriculum
CIS provides a full schooling programme for 6 to 18 year olds with the university entrance qualification of Cambridge Advance Levels for the older students.
The curriculum at CIS is based upon the International curriculum from the Cambridge Assessment International Education, starting with Cambridge Primary and moving through to IGCSE, AS and A Level in the senior years. The integrated international programmes ensure a smooth transition through the years of schooling and provide the opportunity for students to succeed in a stimulating, externally validated and highly respected world-class educational programme. Ultimately, the qualifications which can be obtained by our senior students can open the doors to universities all over the world. From the UK to Austria, Australia to the USA, Spain and here in Slovakia; Cambridge qualifications are universally recognised and welcomed.
Although we use International curriculum from the Cambridge Assessment International Education we are a truly international school and proud to be so!
Admission Process
There are no fixed criteria for admission to our school; each child is treated individually. We do our best to place the newcomers into classes in which we believe they will thrive the most.
In general, we look at how old a child is, how many years of schooling they have had, from which establishment, as well as their levels in English and Maths. A chart with the standard age of children in each year group can be found in our Handbook. A place will only be offered if we believe we are right for the child and the child will be right for our school community. Offers are only made by the school Director, in writing.
Admission Criteria
Please complete the Admission Enquiry Form and return it to the school by email or simply fill it online. This form will help us answer your enquiry and ensure that you get relevant information when you visit our school.
