HEAD OF SCHOOL WELCOME
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the faculty, staff, parents, and students it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to Cairo American College (CAC). The CAC community represents the amalgamation of different nationalities, religions, ethnicities, and education philosophies to unite around the CAC mission to Learn, Explore, and Have Fun. CAC is deeply committed to exceptional education, in a diverse and caring community. Combining the best traditions from American public, independent, and like-minded international schools, CAC has created a rich array of academic, athletic, and activity options to engage our school community at a variety of levels. Moreover, our unique family-like community school provides access to services on our campus like banking, travel planning, fitness gyms, and other facilities to ensure thorough community engagement.
Cairo American College holds a global reputation as one of the finest American International Schools in the world. The passing of time over 76 years from regional crises to the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the strength of our collective experiences can weather the most trying of circumstances. During the course of the pandemic CAC has been a global leader in safety protocols, consistency, and the ability to remain open for face to face learning.
CAC embraces rich traditions, yet remains nimble enough to adapt and adjust to a rapidly changing world. Our students, beyond the academic program, are shepherded through an educational process that embraces the goodness of human nature, harnessing the positive aspects of our world, to ensure that our students, teachers, and all community members are in a position to flourish.
Over the last school year CAC’s community gathered to discuss, research, and debate our path forward in the rapidly changing world. After much work, the CAC Board of Trustees approved the new strategic plan in June 2021. Please do take the time to review the exciting and focused plan that provides focus for CAC’s future.

We welcome your interest in Cairo American College, a private coeducational day school offering international curriculum standards including IB and American High School Diploma for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Like other private schools, we require information that helps us to determine whether there is a good match between our program of instruction and the applicant’s educational needs.
The Admissions office will begin accepting applications for the next academic year in February. Admission decisions for each new school year are made by May 31st . Applications received on or after June 1st will be notified of admission on or after August 1st depending on the availability of space. Students transferring from abroad will be considered for admission throughout the school year.
Families seeking admission for their children should make an appointment with the Director of Admissions. We are also happy to schedule a campus tour at your convenience.
